I've been living in the world of numbers and businesses for over 20 years - and I mean that literally. At 17, I was already working for a small IT company, building computers, setting up networks, and learning QuickBooks Desktop before I knew what a balance sheet was. That dual fluency in technology and finance has followed me ever since.
Over the next two decades I worked my way through office management, accounting, and bookkeeping across multiple industries - including years inside a CPA firm where I watched small business owners not receive the dedication and attention they deserved, yet were still billed for it.
That's why I started Muse Bookkeeping in January 2020. Not because bookkeeping needed another service provider - but because small business owners deserved better. Clear communication, clean books delivered on time, and a bookkeeper who maintains consistent communication and actually explains what the numbers mean.
Over the years I've had the pleasure of working with consultants, coaches, small marketing agencies, a video game developer, manufacturing companies, and an aircraft MRO.
I fully understand the inner workings of service-based businesses - from their usual tech stack, chart of accounts, and communication styles. I also still have my soft spot for IT/MSPs - I understand your RMM and why you have RMR, your contractor payments, and your tool stack. You won't spend twenty minutes explaining how your business works.
