Not at all. Muse Bookkeeping is 100% remote and serves clients nationwide. Everything runs through cloud-based tools including QuickBooks Online, Gusto, and secure file sharing. Most clients never need an in-person meeting.

Yes, and this is actually where we do some of our best work. Catch-up and cleanup bookkeeping is a core service. We have untangled books that were years behind, mixed personal and business accounts, and everything in between. We assess the situation, quote the cleanup as a flat-fee project, and then move you into a clean monthly rhythm.

Yes. Our deepest specialization is IT companies and managed service providers. We understand MRR, recurring revenue structures, the SIL chart of accounts, PSA and RMM tool integrations, and the financial benchmarks that matter in that industry. We work with other service businesses too, but MSPs are our home base.

Every engagement is custom quoted. Pricing is based on the specific combination of services your business needs, including transaction volume, number of accounts, adjusting entries, deferred revenue schedules, prepaid expenses, payroll accruals, subcontractor accruals, tool stack reconciliation, COGS mapping, labor allocation to COGS, franchise reporting, multi-territory tracking, deadline guarantees, and any cleanup or catch-up work required. We start with a discovery call to learn about your business and what you need. From there we gather the details to build your custom quote. Once you are ready, we send over an Engagement Letter that lays out everything in plain language. Sign it as-is or come back with questions. After signing, you receive a payment authorization form. You are auto-billed a flat monthly fee on the first of every month. We then begin onboarding. Once that is completed, my team and I get to work.

Reconciled books, a profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement delivered by the 15th of every month. Expedited financials by the 10th are available upon request. We schedule a one hour monthly call to go over everything with you. You also get unlimited texts and emails with a 24 hour response time. You will always know where your business stands without having to ask.

Yes. Multi-year catch-up is something we handle regularly. We will assess how far back you need to go, what the records look like, and quote the full project as a flat fee. We work through it systematically and get you current before transitioning to monthly maintenance.
